City of Wheaton Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met Oct. 17

Here are the minutes provided by the commissioners:

Call to Order

At 5:02 p.m., Commissioner Illia called to order the special meeting of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. The meeting was held in the Conley Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, Illinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair-Commissioner Illia, Commissioner Cannova, and Commissioner Haines. Also present were Fire Chief Brill, Assistant Chief Vassios, and Director of Human Resources Schulz. Commissioners Vroman and Wanzenberg were absent.

No public comment

III. Approval of Minutes

Commissioner Cannova moved, and Commissioner Haines seconded the motion to approve the meeting minutes from August 1“, 2024.

Roll Call Vote:

Ayes: Commissioner Illia

Commissioner Cannova

Commissioner Haines

Nays: None

Absent: Commissioner Vroman and Commissioner Wanzenberg

Motion Carried

At 5:09 p.m. Commissioner Haines moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded to move into closed session. The motion carried unanimously.

At 8:19 p.m. Commissioner Haines moved, and Commissioner lllia seconded to move out of closed session. The motion carried unanimously.

Vll. Adjournment

Commissioner Haines moved, and Commissioner Cannova seconded to adjourn the meeting at 8:19 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
