PRESIDENT DAVID SCHROEDER CALLED THE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM AND LED THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.

ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA:
President Schroeder entertained a motion to approve the November 4, 2024 Village Board
Agenda with one correction:
• Trustee Fustin has resigned from the Village Board, effective November 1, 2024 so Trustee Wedig will deliver the Public Safety Report this evening.
Trustee Hollembeak moved to approve the amended Village Board Agenda. Trustee Neville seconded. All “AYE” none opposed. Motion carried by voice vote.
APPROVAL OF THE VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES:
President Schroeder entertained a motion to approve the Village Board Meeting Minutes from October 15, 2024. Trustee Neville moved to approve the minutes. Trustee Belt seconded. All “AYE” none opposed. Motion carried by voice vote.
PUBLIC COMMENT: None.
TREASURER’S REPORT: October 2024 Report by Village Treasurer Maureen Gumowski.
Treasurer Gumowski stated that revenues in the General Fund of $477,000 were higher than expenditures of $434,000 by $43,000. Expenditures were mainly Salary & Benefits ($278,000). Revenues of $195,000 was lower than expenditures of $316,000 in the Water Fund by $121,000, Expenditures were mainly the Elgin Street Water Main Project at $218,000. In the Capital Improvements Fund, revenues of $235,000 were higher than expenditures of $100,000 by $135,000. President Schroeder stated that the Treasurer’s Report will be placed on file with the minutes.

President Schroeder entertained a motion that the Village Board approve the Side Letter Agreement Between the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police (regarding the Recruitment and Retention Grant). 1. Trustee Wedig moved that the Village Board approve a Two-Day Acting Patrol Officer in Charge training class for Patrol Officers Bunge, Erickson, and Sergeant Crouch on November 14 and 15, 2024 through Northern Illinois Training Advisory Board in Freeport, IL (Transportation via police vehicle)
• Registration cost is $0.00 – because we are a member agency.
• Cost for meals is $50.00 per day for a total cost of $300.00 from
Travel 5200 Police.

Trustee Hollembeak moved that the Village Board approve the Conditional Offer of Employment to Ms. Roxana Medina to serve as a Full-time Administrative Assistant for the Cherry Valley Police Department at a starting wage of $22.00 per hour with a start date of November 4, 2024.
