A proposal to sell five acres of vacant City land in West Pullman has been introduced to the City Council by Mayor Brandon Johnson. The sale would facilitate the construction of a 413,400-square-foot industrial building. This $40 million project is spearheaded by DL3 Realty and is planned for 1135-1325 W. 119th St.
The facility will feature 97 loading docks and two at-grade loading doors. It is expected to provide employment for up to 200 people once fully operational.
Historically, parts of this City land were home to an Ingersoll Products factory throughout much of the 1900s. The site was cleared and acquired by the City starting in 2005, while DL3 Realty owns the remaining portion needed for development.
The proposed sale price for the City-owned land is set at $1.
