On February 5, 2025, Schakowsky reported that "Three small farming cooperatives in the Aguan Valley, #Honduras are under attack by armed criminal groups. Two people have been killed and 28 injured. My office will be closely following how the situation unfolds, including how the armed groups will be held to account."

The following day, on February 6, she criticized certain tax policy proposals from Congressional Republicans: "Congressional Republicans, led by Musk and Trump, are planning to cut taxes for billionaires while ripping health care away from seniors and people with disabilities. This morning, I was with @SEIUPres and a packed room of @SEIU advocates to say hands off our Medicaid!"
