Mike Quigley, a U.S. Congressman representing Illinois' 5th district since 2009, has recently made several public statements via social media addressing significant political issues and community engagement.

On March 11, 2025, Quigley commented on the Trump Administration's decision to resume intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine. He stated, "I welcome the news that the Trump Admin will lift its pause on intelligence sharing and military aid to Ukraine. However, we cannot use Ukraine’s future as leverage in negotiations when innocent lives and democracy are at stake."

In another post dated March 12, 2025, Quigley criticized policy changes by Donald Trump's Acting Social Security Commissioner regarding overpayment withholdings. He remarked, "Donald Trump's Acting Social Security Commissioner just changed the agency's policies so that when they make a mistake, beneficiaries pay the price. Under their new default overpayment withholding rate, recipients could lose their entire monthly check. It's needlessly cruel..."

Additionally, on March 12, 2025, Quigley shared his involvement in local community activities by visiting Nettelhorst Elementary's Makers Market. He expressed support for student entrepreneurs saying, "I had a great time stopping by Nettelhorst Elementary's Makers Market to support their student entrepreneurs!"
