Starting Monday, March 24, the Loop Link bike lane on Washington Street between Wells Street and LaSalle Street will be closed for approximately 12 to 16 weeks. This closure is necessary to facilitate a ComEd Vault Roof Replacement project at 155 W. Washington.

Cyclists will be rerouted to share the existing bus lane for this block and can transition back to the protected bike lane just east of the LaSalle intersection. "There will be no impact to pedestrians or vehicular traffic during regular work hours," according to officials.

On select weekends, Washington Street between Wells and LaSalle will be fully closed to vehicular traffic for crane operations. During these closures, cyclists will be rerouted to the north curb lane of Washington. The weekend closures are expected on March 29–30, April 5–6, April 12–13, and April 19.
