Mayor Brandon Johnson, in collaboration with the Office of Budget and Management (OBM), has introduced an impact dashboard for Chicago's ARPA Information Hub. This platform serves as a transparency tool for the city's Road to Recovery ARPA Plan. The dashboard is designed to provide insights into program impacts through features like an interactive heat map and a variety of demographic indicators.

The dashboard presents measurable outcomes from key programs under the Road to Recovery Plan. These include mental health services reaching over 45,000 residents, summer employment opportunities for 12,646 youth, in-home nurse visits benefiting 6,729 families with newborns through the Family Connects Program, stable housing for 1,884 households via the Rapid Rehousing Program, and financial support for 5,335 local artists through the Artist Relief & Works Fund.

"This dashboard tells the story of how public dollars are being used to meet public needs—boldly and transparently," stated Mayor Brandon Johnson. He emphasized that it reflects his administration's values by investing in often overlooked neighborhoods and demonstrating responsive governance. "We are utilizing these federal funds to make Chicago the safest and most affordable big city in America."

The new feature complements existing elements of the ARPA Information Hub launched in October 2024. It enhances transparency by providing detailed information on community programs across Chicago’s neighborhoods.

In July 2024, Mayor Johnson unveiled a performance report on using $1.887 billion in ARPA funds aimed at aiding vulnerable communities' recovery efforts. This marks two years since his administration began emphasizing transparency and accountability regarding ARPA investments.

Budget Director Annette Guzman commented on the dashboard's design: “We designed this dashboard to be transparent, accessible, and useful—not just for tracking programmatic progress but for building trust in investments made with public funds.” She highlighted its utility as a tool allowing residents to witness firsthand their community's progress due to these initiatives.

Key features include filtering options by policy pillar or geographic location such as community ward or zip code; total served indicators showing service reach either generally or specific areas; alongside an interactive map indicating place-based investment locations within Chicago communities.
