Hounds' Head Coach Chris Latham has announced the lineup for Chicago's Week 14 Monday Night Rugby game against Rugby Los Angeles. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 pm at SeatGeek Stadium, and tickets are available for purchase.
In a strategic move, team captain Lucas Rumball will return to the No. 8 position, taking over from Luke White, who will now be on the bench as a reserve. This adjustment leaves the front row trio of Fakaosifolau Pifeleti, Dylan Fawsitt, and Charlie Abel unchanged for their third consecutive start. Together, they have accumulated 260 Major League Rugby caps. Fawsitt aims to continue his scoring streak after tries in two previous matches.
The second row will feature James Scott alongside Mason Flesch for their second consecutive start together. Flesch's adaptability in various positions adds flexibility to the team dynamics along with Conall Boomer’s form in recent games.
Conall Boomer continues in the No. 6 jersey, making it his third straight start. Mac Jones and Lucas Rumball complete the starting pack lineup.
On the reserves bench, Janus Venter replaces Jackson Zabierek as hooker while Zurabi Zhavania and Ignacio Peculo are set to make an impact from there too. Luke White and Matt Oworu round out the forward reserves.
Jason Higgins is slated to start his first game of this season as he partners with Chris Hilsenbeck in halfbacks roles. Michael Baska is designated as scrumhalf cover.
Ollie Devoto and Bryce Campbell maintain their positions in Chicago's midfield setup once more. Amongst the substitutes are versatile backs Adriaan Carelse and Mark O’Keeffe.
Peyton Wall earns his second career start following his MLR debut against Miami Sharks in Week 12; he will wear No. 11 shirt against Los Angeles while Noah Brown prepares for his eleventh appearance of this year from right wing spot having already made significant contributions through tries scored so far during these games including clean line breaks recorded thus far within current statistics showing notable performance levels achieved up until now!
