A new industrial complex is set to be developed on the Near West Side with the aid of a property tax incentive. The City Council has approved a Cook County Class 6(b) property tax incentive for Kinzie Commerce Development's project.
The $19 million development will be located at 2519 W. Fulton St. and 2520 W. Lake St., replacing outdated industrial buildings with modern structures totaling 68,000 square feet.
The incentive, valued at $1.9 million over a 12-year period, aims to support the creation of 20 full-time jobs once the buildings are fully leased.
The Class 6(b) property tax incentive is designed to promote industrial growth in areas requiring revitalization.
