The Independent Review Panel has decided to overturn the suspension of Chicago Fire FC midfielder Dje D’Avilla. The panel, which includes representatives from U.S. Soccer, Canada Soccer, and an independent member from the Professional Referee Organization, unanimously agreed to rescind the one-game suspension and fine associated with a second yellow card issued to D'Avilla during a match against New York City FC on May 25.

As a result of this decision, D'Avilla will be eligible to participate in Chicago's upcoming regular season game against Orlando City SC scheduled for Saturday, May 31. This match is set to take place at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be available on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.

Each club in the league is allowed two unsuccessful appeals each season, including during the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. With Chicago Fire FC's appeal being successful, they retain their two opportunities for unsuccessful appeals in the current 2025 season.
