Chicago Fire FC II experienced a setback in their recent match against New England Revolution II, losing 4-3 at SeatGeek Stadium. This result ended Chicago's nine-game unbeaten streak in MLS NEXT Pro.

The game began with an early goal from Cristiano Oliveira of New England, who capitalized on a defensive error by Chicago. Malcolm Fry added to the lead shortly after, putting New England ahead by two goals within six minutes.

Chicago responded quickly when Peter Soudan won a penalty, which Dylan Borso converted. The home team equalized through Olu Oyegunle's volley following a set piece orchestrated by Harold Osorio.

New England's Liam Butts scored twice, once before halftime and again shortly after the break, giving his team a commanding lead. Although Trip Fleming managed to score for Chicago late in the game, time ran out for the hosts.

The match statistics were evenly matched with both teams taking 11 shots each. However, New England had more shots on target with seven compared to Chicago's five.

Looking ahead, Chicago Fire FC II will face Toronto FC II on July 20 at York Lions Stadium in Toronto. The match will be available globally via MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
