Latin School of Chicago athletic director and soccer coach Tom Bower was inducted into the Illinois High School Soccer Coaches Association (IHSSCA) Hall of Fame last week.

Bower has spent more than 20 years coaching the boys and girls soccer teams at Latin. He joins the 54 other coaches, referees, school officials, players and friends of the sport that have been inducted into the IHSSCA Hall of Fame since 1988.

Bower was honored at the IHSSCA Honors Banquet in Elmhurst last week. In addition to the Hall of Fame induction, the IHSSCA honored the coach of the year and Illinois player of the year.

The IHSSCA is the regional branch of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, which was founded in 1941.
