Committee on the Budget and Government Operations talks ex-offender apprentices

Two agenda items will be discussed during the Committee on the Budget and Government Operations at the Chicago City Council Chamber Sept. 13 at 10 a.m.

The first item of discussion is a proposed ordinance suggesting an additional appropriation and a small change to the 2016 Annual Appropriation Ordinance, which is needed to demonstrate an increase in the monies received from federal, state, public and private organizations.

The second and final item on the agenda discusses a proposed ordinance regarding a change to Chapter 2-29 of the municipal code of Chicago addressing the use of ex-offender apprentices.
