The Illinois Sate Board of Education met Friday to review the Proposed School Actions Guideline.

I. Welcome and Introductions: Valencia Rias-Winstead, School Actions Committee Chair Roll Call for attendance II. CPS CEO’s Proposed School Actions Guidelines - Overview TODAY IS THE FINAL DAY TO SUBMIT COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT GUIDELINES. You may submit feedback to CPS directly via email to: CEOGuidelines@cps.edu III. Public Comment As time permits - Comments should address the agenda items. Members of the public may also submit written comments to: ceftf.ilga@gmail.com IV. CPS’ Next Steps • Final School Actions Guidelines must be released by November 1st, 2016. • CPS CEO’s Proposed School Actions (with Draft School Transition Plans) must be released by December 1st, 2016. • Community Meetings and Public Hearings will be held in January 2017. • Any School Actions approved by the Board of Education will be implemented in the coming school year.
