Vargas for 43 owes $6,400 in fines

The campaign committee Vargas for 43 owes a $5,000 fine imposed on March 19, 2013, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $1,400 with Rafael A. Vargas listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 143 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $863,080 in pending fines.
