Ogden East campus has 130 English learners who take ACCESS. ACCESS is administered annually to all English learners to measure their social and academic English proficiency across the four language domains. It is the federal requirement that mandates require states to evaluate English learning students in grades K through 12 on their English proficiency levels and progress. Our test is scheduled from January 17 through February 17th.

We will have our 3rd Ogden Bilingual Advisory Committee meeting on February 21thfrom 8:30-9:30 in room 103. We will watch a family webinar designed specifically for parents of English learners. Parents/Guardians of English learners are welcome to join us.

We are now expecting to have a compliance visit sometime in Spring. Our team of EL program teachers and administrator meet weekly to review last year's compliance report and to follow up on every issue in order to be in compliance. In order for Ogden East to provide the required minutes to our English learning students, we will add more minutes to our program from the second semester.

This impacts the schedules of Mrs. Esparza & Mrs. Melynk.
