Call To Order:
The Chairperson, Patricia Getchell, called the regular monthly meeting of the Human Rights
Authority, North Suburban Region, to order at 4:05 p.m.
Members Present: Patricia Getchell, Art Savage Kim Larson, Kori Larson

Staff Present: Julie Sass, Coordinator
Guests:
The Chairperson, Patricia Getchell, noted that a quorum was not present. Chair Getchell read the confidentiality statement.
Changes in the Agenda:
There were no changes to the agenda.
Approval of the March through December 2016 minutes: the minutes could not be approved due to a lack of a quorum.

Kori Larson made a motion to not accept the complaint for investigation; the motion was properly seconded and carried.

At 4:45 p.m. the Authority voted in accordance with Section 3955/21 of the Guardianship and
Advocacy Act to go into closed session to discuss new complaint assignments, case closures, draft reports and other matters which could not be discussed without revealing confidential information.
The Authority voted to return to open session at 5:00 p.m. having taken no action in closed session.
A summary of closed session included new complaint assignments and consideration of draft
reports (#17-100-9017, #17-100-9010,#17-100-9004, #17-100-9008) and consideration of accepting the responses received and closing the cases (#17-100-9009) and case closures without provider responses (#16-100-9018, #16-100-9016, #16-100-9019, #17-100-9001).
