The Northwest Cook County 2018 GOP Candidate Forum and Endorsement Session will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Copernicus Center.
All GOP candidates in Northwest Cook County districts whose name will appear on the ballot are invited and will each be given five minutes to address the crowd, and highlight their platforms and ideas for getting the struggling state back on course.
Once all the speakers have been heard, members of the Evanston Township Republican Organization, Elk Grove Township Republican Organization, Republicans of Maine Township, New Trier Republican Organization, Niles Township Republican Organization, Norwood Park Township Republican Organization and Northwest Side GOP Club will cast their votes and later announce their formal endorsements in all contested GOP races.
A press release of the endorsements will be made public on Monday, January 22.
The Northwest Side GOP Club is a grassroots organization of politically active individuals primarily from the Northwest Side of Chicago and neighboring suburbs. The organization stands behind a motto of “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are superior to increased regulation, waste and corruption.”
