Matt Podgorski, chairman of the Northwest Side GOP Club and Republican committeeman for Chicago's 39th Ward, has appointed Michael Chorba as precinct committeeman in the 41st Ward.
In a statement, Podgorski credited Chorba with being invaluable as campaign volunteer coordinator in helping Ammie Kessem get her campaign for the seat held by Rep. Robert Martwick (D-Chicago) off the ground in the 19th House District.
“Michael was instrumental in recruiting and organizing the volunteers who produced 1,500 signatures for state Rep. candidate Ammie Kessem,” Podgorski said. “He is a great asset to the club and we are happy to have him as a committeeman.”
Chorba grew up on the city’s Northwest Side and graduated from St. Pascal Elementary and Holy Cross High schools. He holds a degree from Dominican University and now resides in the 41st Ward.
