Assessor candidate Kaegi raised $2.04M ahead of primary victory

Fritz Kaegi raised $7 per vote cast for him in the Cook County Assessor primary race last month compared to incumbent Joseph Berrios' $9 per vote, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

In all, the contentious primary raised $4.5 million – 45 percent of which was raised for Kaegi. Berrios raised 48 percent of the total.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform analyzed how much candidates in the most contested state races raised per vote they received in the Illinois Primary on March 20. The analysis is based on contributions disclosures between Jan. 1, 2017, and March 20.
