State Senate candidate Villivalam raised $357K ahead of primary victory

Ram Villivalam raised $25 per vote cast for him in the 8th Senate District Democratic primary race compared to incumbent Ira Silverstein's $38 per vote, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

In all, the contentious primary raised $754,858.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform analyzed how much candidates in the most contested state races raised per vote they received in the Illinois Primary on March 20. The analysis is based on contributions disclosures between Jan. 1, 2017, and March 20.
