Report: Rosemont spent $18,167 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Rosemont Elementary School District 78 is up 27 percent from five years ago, according to a Chicago City Wire analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $14,341 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $18,167 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 279 to 228.

Rosemont's spending in 2016-17 was 40 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
