Graduates earn 4,837 degrees, certificates from Loyola University Chicago

About 18.6 percent of the 4,837 degrees and certificates handed out by the Loyola University Chicago in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Chicago conferred 500 bachelor's degrees and 330 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Data shows the school gave out 320 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, followed by 299 master's degrees in Social Work and 281 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

The university enrolled 16,422 students for 2016-17, including 11,129 in undergraduate programs and 5,293 in graduate programs.
