Cost of college went up for all students at Roosevelt University

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2017-18 at Roosevelt University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $28,963 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $844 more than the $28,119 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 338 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.35 million and 234 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.59 million.

Including all undergraduates, 2,697 students used grants or scholarships totaling $35.15 million. Another 2,049 took out $16.66 million in federal student loans.
