Cost of college went up for all students at Illinois Institute of Technology

Tuition and fees rose 1.4 percent for 2017-18 at Illinois Institute of Technology, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $45,864 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $650 more than the $45,214 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 479 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.36 million and 235 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.6 million.

Including all undergraduates, 2,773 students used grants or scholarships totaling $78.42 million. Another 1,250 took out $9.91 million in federal student loans.
