City Rock issued the following announcement on July 3.
Thanks to Rock Island Public Library Foundation sponsorship of the Figge Art Museum's special summer exhibit, "Maurice Sendak: Where The Wild Things Are" Rock Island Public Library patrons can sign up for special docent tours of the exhibit.
The Rock Island Library tours are scheduled at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 7 and July 21, and at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 19. Each tour is open to about 20 people, and will be led by one of the Figge's trained volunteer docents, or guides.
To RSVP for any of the tours, please call the Rock Island Library at 309-732-7303 or sign up via the Library's online calendar. Guests should meet in the Figge Museum Store, where the docent guide will check them in. Each tour lasts up to 45 minutes.
Admission to the exhibit is complimentary. Walk-ins are also allowed.
