Beginning Thursday, July 5, 2018, 13th Street between 4th and 5th Avenue will be closed for the repair and relocation of the sewer main and Central Fire roof drain system.

The Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department is currently implementing a new parks naturalization project. There are “no mow” areas in each park that have been designated for the project including steep hillsides and underutilized areas.

CITY ROCK: Red, White and Boom for Boaters
The Schwiebert Riverfront Park Boat Docks will be open for boaters to enjoy during this year’s 2018 Red White and Boom event held in Downtown Rock Island on Tuesday, July 3rd. The docks, with 23 slips, will be available on a first come-first serve basis and no reservations for slips will be taken.
