City Rock issued the following announcement on July 12.

Animal educators from the 25-acre zoological park will visit the Rock Island Public Library to explore the wonders of the animal kingdom. Guests at the two library shows will meet animals from the Blank Park Zoo's Education Department, learn about the animal's species, and how to be an advocate for animals everywhere.

As part of the rocking library summer, the Blank Park Zoo shows will be offered on Thursday, July 19 at 11:00 am at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, and again at 1:00 pm at the Southwest Library, 9010 Ridgewood Road.

Both events are free and open to the public. Registration is not required.
