Kaegi retains Cook County Assessor's seat

Democrat Frederick ''Fritz'' Kaegi has been declared the winner in the Cook County Assessor's race against Republican Joseph Paglia.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Kaegi had 67.03 percent of the vote with a total of 540,027 votes.

Paglia received 32.97 percent of the vote with a total of 265,631 votes.
