Chicago Transit Authority Board Finance Audit and Budget Committee met Oct. 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

AGENDA: The posted agenda for the meeting can be found at www.transitchicago.com, “About CTA”, “Transit Board Meetings”, “Meeting Notices, Agendas, and Minutes”, “10/10/2018”, “Committee on Finance Audit, and Budget.

ROLL CALL: Chairman Silva, Irvine, Peterson, Miller, Patterson, Youngblood. There was a quorum of six committee members present, and one (Alva Rosales) absent.

COMMITTEE ACTION: The committee reviewed the Finance report and approved the September 12th, 2018 committee minutes.

Then, after extensive review by the committee, Chairman Silva asked for a motion to place all recommended approved items, the four ordinances and the 14 contracts, on the omnibus for Board approval. Moved and seconded, the motion to recommend Board approval of the omnibus was approved with six yes votes.

The approved items are as follows:

1 An ordinance authorizing an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Evanston for funding from the Washington National TIF District for future phases of the Red and Purple Modernization Program.

2 An ordinance establishing the Authority’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program goal for the Federal Fiscal Years 2019-2021.

3 An ordinance revising the Authority’s Drug and Alcohol Policy and Testing Program for employees in safety-sensitive positions.

4 An ordinance authorizing the purchase of blanket railroad protective liability insurance for policy year November 1, 2018 through October 31, 2019.

MOTION TO ADJOURN: Chairman Silva asked for a motion to adjourn the Finance, Audit, and Budget committee meeting of October 10th, 2018. After the motion was moved, the motion was approved by unanimous voice vote.
