Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners met Oct. 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the commissioners:

A roll call was taken and the following Commissioners were found to be in attendance:

4 - Avis LaVelle, Jesse Ruiz, Donald Edwards, and David A. Helfand 2 - Tim King, and M. Laird Koldyke

President Ruiz yielded the floor to a member of the public, David Kostelansky.

2. EXECUTIVE SESSION [Pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2, Subsection C (16) Self-Evaluation. Additional exemptions may be discussed under the supervision of the State Appointed Monitor, includiing sections (1), (2), and (14).

A motion was made by Vice President Avis LaVelle and seconded by Commissioner Donald Edwards that the meeting enter into closed session Pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection (c), (2), (14), (16). The motion prevailed with the following vote:

Aye: 4 - LaVelle, Ruiz, Edwards and Helfand Commissioner M. Laird Koldyke joined the meeting.

Present 5 - Avis LaVelle, David A. Helfand, M. Laird Koldyke, Jesse Ruiz, and Donald Edwards

Vice President Avis LaVelle left the meeting before returning to open session.

A motion was made by Commissioner M. Laird Koldyke and seconded by Vice President Avis LaVelle that the meeting return to open session. The motion prevailed with the follwoing vote:

Report on Closed Session

Self Evalutation Pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection C (16)

There was the discussion of self-evaluation pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection (C) (16) under the supervision of a state appointed monitor. No further action was taken.

Investigative Matter Pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection C (14)

There was the discussion of an investigation pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 subsection (c) (14) under the supervision of a state appointed monitor. No fiurther action was taken.

Employment Matter Pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection C (2) Schedule B

There was the discussion of employment matters regading changes to Schedule B, pursuant to 5ILCS 120 Section 2 Subsection (C) (2), under the supervision of a state appointed monitor. A Motion was made by Commissioner David Helfand and seconded by Commissioner M. Laird Koldyke to approve the changes to Schedule B. The motion prevailed with the followoing vote:

Ate: 4 - Helfand, Koldyke, Ruiz and Edwards

Excused: 1 - LaVelle

Absent: 1 - King
