Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
Through this training facilitated by Selah Freedom, youth-interveners will leave with a greater understanding of the realities of sex trafficking, its root causes, how to identify victims, and how to take action. By addressing the stages of change model, participants will be empowered to utilize these skills when interacting with youth who may be present, past, or future survivors of exploitation.
Learning Objectives
Provide a greater understanding of the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC)
Recognizing the role childhood sexual abuse can play in exploitation
Sex/media culture's impact on fueling the demand
Understanding how to identify and support a survivor
