Chairman Leon called the meeting to order.

1. Approval of the Minutes of Previous Meeting

Regular Meeting of September 6, 2018

Motioned by Tolliver, seconded by Wong. Approved unanimously (5-0).

2. Report from the Department of Planning and Development

MUNICIPAL TUBERCULOSIS SANITARIUM COMPLEX

Area bounded by Pulaski Road, Peterson Avenue, Central Park Avenue, and Bryn Mawr Avenue 

Matt Crawford presented the report. Vote to accept the DPD report and take the next step in the designation process for the Cook County Hospital Administration Building to request consent from the property owners.

Motioned by Moreno, seconded by Tolliver. Approved unanimously (5-0).

3. Recommendation to City Council to Amend and Restate Chicago Landmark Designation

TRIBUNE TOWER WARD 42

425 North Michigan Avenue

Matt Crawford presented the report. Motion to adopt the recommendation to City Council to amend and restate the landmark designation for the Tribune Tower.

Motioned by Wong, seconded by Dziekiewicz. Approved unanimously (5-0).

4. Permit Review Committee Reports

Report on Projects Reviewed at the September 6, 2018, Permit Review Committee Meeting

Commissioner Wong presented the report from the Permit Review Committee meeting of September 6, 2018 (see attached).

Report on Permit Decisions by the Commission Staff for the Month of September 2018

Lawrence Shure presented the staff report for the month of September 2018 (see attached).

5. Program Committee Report

Recommendations to the Illinois Historic Sites Advisory Council on nominations to the National Register of Historic Places:

HERMOSA BUNGALOW HISTORIC DISTRICT WARD 31

Roughly bounded by West Belmont, North Lowell, West Diversey, and North Kolmar Avenues

Commissioner Tolliver presented the report. Vote to approve recommendation to the Illinois

Historic Sites Advisory Council on nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

Motioned by Moreno, seconded by Dziekiewicz. Approved unanimously (5-0).

6. Announcement

Vice Chairman Houlihan announced:

2018 Preservation Excellence Awards

Time: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Registration begins at 4:00 p.m.)
