With $5.6 million raised in a year, Daley attracts the big donors

Democrat Bill Daley has raised the most money among the 14 candidates vying to be Chicago’s next mayor and he’s also attracted some of the biggest donors. 

Between Jan 1, 2018 and Jan. 31, 2019, Daley received donations of $100,000 or more 13 times, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections. His campaign committee also reported donations of $50,000 or more 27 times in that same time period.

Overall, Daley received $5,608,014 in campaign contributions. His committee reported $4,906,716 in individual contributions, $81,500 in transfers and $34,498 in in-kind contributions.
