Babycheck

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago issued the following announcement on March 1.

New wireless sensors advance care for NICU babies. The dual wireless sensors –developed by John Rogers, PhD, a Northwestern University bioelectronics pioneer and team of Northwestern Medicine scientists – monitor a babies’ vital signs and allow physical bonding between baby and parent. https://bit.ly/2ECeP7F

Lurie Children’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) participated in a study that concluded the wireless sensors provided data as precise and accurate as that from traditional monitoring systems while being gentler on a newborn’s fragile skin and allowing for more skin-to-skin contact with the parents.
