Chicago alderman candidate Deb Mell returns $500 contribution from Gina Munoz

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate Deb Mell, Citizens for Deb Mell, returned a $500 contribution from Gina Munoz on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Munoz has not made any other contributions to Deb Mell in the past 12 months.
