Chicago alderman candidate Emma Mitts returns $500 contribution from Friends of Rosa Silva

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate Emma Mitts, Citizens to Elect Emma Mitts, returned a $500 contribution from Friends of Rosa Silva on July 19, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Friends of Rosa Silva has not made any other contributions to Emma Mitts in the past 12 months.
