The campaign committee of comptroller candidate Susana Mendoza, Friends for Susana Mendoza For Comptroller, returned a $1,000 contribution from 1528 Partners, LP on April 10, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. 1528 Partners, LP has not made any other contributions to Susana Mendoza in the past 12 months.
