comptroller candidate Susana Mendoza returns $1,000 contribution from Friedman Properties

The campaign committee of comptroller candidate Susana Mendoza, Friends for Susana Mendoza For Comptroller, returned a $1,000 contribution from Friedman Properties on Sept. 9, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Friedman Properties has not made any other contributions to Susana Mendoza in the past 12 months.
