alderman candidate George A Cardenas returns $1,500 contribution from Acme Refining Scrap Iron & Metal Company

The campaign committee of alderman candidate George A Cardenas, Friends of George A Cardenas, returned a $1,500 contribution from Acme Refining Scrap Iron & Metal Company on July 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Acme Refining Scrap Iron & Metal Company has not made any other contributions to George A Cardenas in the past 12 months.
