alderman candidate George A Cardenas returns $500 contribution from Tropical Optical Corp

The campaign committee of alderman candidate George A Cardenas, Friends of George A Cardenas, returned a $500 contribution from Tropical Optical Corp on Jan. 5, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Tropical Optical Corp has not made any other contributions to George A Cardenas in the past 12 months.
