Chicago alderman candidate Gilbert Villegas returns $1,500 contribution from Zitella Development

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate Gilbert Villegas, Friends of Gilbert Villegas, returned a $1,500 contribution from Zitella Development on Jan. 16, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Zitella Development has not made any other contributions to Gilbert Villegas in the past 12 months.
