Chicago alderman candidate Brian Hopkins returns $1,500 contribution from 2230 Elston, LLC

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate Brian Hopkins, Hopkins for Chicago, returned a $1,500 contribution from 2230 Elston, LLC on Oct. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. 2230 Elston, LLC has not made any other contributions to Brian Hopkins in the past 12 months.
