commissioner candidate Richard Boykin returns $4,250 contribution from McDonald's

The campaign committee of commissioner candidate Richard Boykin, Friends of Richard Boykin, returned a $4,250 contribution from McDonald's on Oct. 3, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. McDonald's has not made any other contributions to Richard Boykin in the past 12 months.
