Chicago alderman candidate Will Burns returns $500 contribution from Lester McKeever, Jr.

The campaign committee of Chicago alderman candidate Will Burns, Friends of Will Burns, returned a $500 contribution from Lester McKeever, Jr. on Jan. 14, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. McKeever, Jr. has not made any other contributions to Will Burns in the past 12 months.
