Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel returns $1,250 contribution from Anthony Lauber

The campaign committee of Chicago mayor candidate Rahm Emanuel, Chicago for Rahm Emanuel, returned a $1,250 contribution from Anthony Lauber on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Lauber has not made any other contributions to Rahm Emanuel in the past 12 months.
