Cook County commissioner candidate Bridget Gainer returns $5,600 contribution from Richard Garton

The campaign committee of Cook County commissioner candidate Bridget Gainer, Citizens for Bridget Gainer, returned a $5,600 contribution from Richard Garton on Jan. 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Garton has not made any other contributions to Bridget Gainer in the past 12 months.
