The campaign committee of judge (Appellate Court/1st District) candidate Bertina E Lampkin, Citizens for Lampkin, returned a $2,100 contribution from James Montgomery on July 5, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Montgomery has not made any other contributions to Bertina E Lampkin in the past 12 months.
