alderman candidate Patrick J O'Connor returns $1,600 contribution from MAT Leasing Inc.

The campaign committee of alderman candidate Patrick J O'Connor, Citizens for Patrick O'Connor, returned a $1,600 contribution from MAT Leasing Inc. on Jan. 14, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. MAT Leasing Inc. has not made any other contributions to Patrick J O'Connor in the past 12 months.
