Beverly home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2017 in Beverly, a Chicago neighborhood, rose by $17,250 while total sales increased by 7.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2017, there were 68 homes sold, with a median sale price of $282,250 - a 6.5% increase over the $265,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 63 homes sold in Beverly in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Beverly for 2017 was $4,829.75. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,742.30. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.7%.
